Why did I apply to so many schools???

Now I have to decide between nine:
Notre Dame
UT-Austin
Maryland
USC
UCLA
UW-Madison
UW-Seattle
ASU
Hawaii

I've eliminated Hawaii (even though my dad keeps pushing it on me) and ASU.

But the other ones have so much to love. I'm a business major, so obviously the business depertment is very important to me. I also love sports, and want to have a good time (lots of attractive females wouldn't hurt either). My parents will pay whatever, but I really feel bad about $44,000 when some of the others are around $20,000.

for business, UT-Austin defenitly

USC and Notre Dame are good choices too i think but i'm pretty sure that McCombs(UT) is like top 15 or so business schools at US News

Yeah but you don;t need to major in business to go into business. I'd go to UCLA or Notre Dame with these choices.

Are you in-state at any of the privates? Regardless, I think you should also drop Maryland.

Best choices here, overall and/or for business, are USC, UT-Austin, Notre Dame, and UCLA.

UT Austin, USC, UCLA and Notre Dame are all great choices.

If you want something smaller, go with Notre Dame. If you want something bigger, go with UT-Austin.

Although you really can't go wrong with any of your remaining choices. :)

Thanks. I'm not crossing Maryland off because I got money there, honors, and the people are so great and have been extremely helpful. I also love the proximity to DC.

That said, it's probably going to come down to UT, ND, and USC. ND clearly has the others beat on prestige, but the other two are still great schools and probably a lot more fun (and conservative enough for me to survive).

USC, UCLA, or notre dame

notre dame

In California, USC has way more cashe than the other ones, and it's known for the great business connections you can make there.

ut conservative? that aint its reputation down here

It's all relative - my roomie is from Texas, he finds UT to be a bunch of liberals - compared to NYC though, they're definitely conservative

For a Texas school, though, they're definitely to the left

Two things:
One, I feel your pain on having to choose because I have to choose between twelve colleges, and I assure it is not going to be an easy decision.
Two, it really depends on if you want to go far, with your choices I'm going to assume you live on the west coast or sort of midwest. Regardless, I would recommend either Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, or Maryland.

So, ummm, yea good luck choosing, stick to your gut and instinct, and don't be afraid to go where you feel comfortable regardless of what others say.

Anyone can find their group at UT - plenty of conservatives

Actually I live in upstate New Tork and I'm trying to escape.

Oh surprising, totally figured you were west coast, than more props to you because california schools often heavily consider geography in their decisions, so yea, i only had the guts to apply to one west coast school myself, but all in all applying to too many schools in the long run isn't worth it.

Now that I actually have to leave though, I'm kinda wanting to stay within a day's drive.

Well then Notre Dame is a good choice, its doable in about a day of driving but definitely far away and different enough that you know you're not in Kansas . . . err, New York . . anymore

Yeah, I'd say Notre Dame or UT-Austin would be the best choices for you. Although USC or UCLA would also be good.

Why not UW-Madison? One of the cheaper schools, one of the top undergraduate business schools in the country, one of the best social atmospheres, 3 BIG TIME sports (generally football, basketball, and hockey)... there aren't too many more well rounded schools out there.
