I applied fall for UNF and got referred to summer. It’s my first college acceptance btw so woohoo! UNF is supposed to be my safety school so getting referred hurts a bit.
The scores I sent them:
SAT: 1370 ACT:30
Along with my transcript which is all Honors/AP/IB and a 3.46 GPA.
This was my first application and since I’ve applied to Tulane, Fordham, Flagler, NYU, FSU, and Hofstra with
SAT: 1440
so should I be worried? I guess there’s nothing to do now but wait. Also the schools on that list asked for application essays which I think help buffer my application. Thanks guys!
This is UF, not UNF. Decisions come out in February. But either way, your stats are really good as far as SAT. GPA is a bit low for fall acceptance, but sometimes it is random. I don’t quite think UF is a safety for anyone since, like other colleges, admissions decisions can be a bit random from time to time. How were your extracurriculars? I wouldn’t worry.
You should contact UNF admissions, they will explain the summer referral. Perhaps it’s a mistake or some type of new program. Otherwise it’s linked to your GPA (which again, they may have wrong).
At UNF, it is easy to be admitted to the Summer B term, vs Fall, in 2017, the middle 50% GPA range for summer was 3.0 to 3.6, for Fall it was 3.6 to 4.4 (weighted).
