Well... I know why. I'm a procrastinator and I've been really busy.

But it's too late to change that, and the deadline is 2 days from now.

With my first essay, the communities essay, I had no idea that common app had a limit of 500 kb for uploading documents. However, what I wanted to turn in is around 850...

Any suggestions? Would it even be possible to just email it to the admissions office rather than go through common app?

(I would just cancel my common app form and submit it through JHU's app, but I've already paid the app. fee.)

It’s not the word limit- I was using the “any medium” to use pictures, which are huge compared to the word size.

I would mail it in separately, but I don’t have a color printer I can connect to, and I would miss the deadline anyway. It’s not the biggest deal- my commonapp essay will make up for it if it has to, but I really like what I did.

I just registered with the JHU app to see if that would work, but it doesn’t allow for you to upload documents- thus you have to type it, and pictures aren’t really typeable.

…what if I printed it for you and mailed it to them? :X Or even better, a friend?
I’m pretty sure that if you contact them, they would allow you to e-mail it directly to them.

First, we do not accept application materials through email – we do not open attachments nor do we print out materials received in an email to add to one’s application file.

Second, if you want to submit an essay using another medium, you really should do it by mailing your essays. Online applicants may submit their essays through the mail … this is not a problem.

Finally, use Kinkos if you need to print something in color.
