Lots of school in the San Jose Bay area get > 50 acceptances at Berkeley, so is that a big deal.

South Bay public schools has a high concentration of Chinese students, that is why :)

unlimitedx, my senior class (in south bay lol) has a total of 3 Chinese students. Somewhere between 25-35 students have gotten into CAL (I've heard conflicting reports lol) out of apprx 135 students.

CAL admits haven't been very surprising, but UCI and USC has been really random this year.

I'm not from the South Bay, though many of those high schools do send many to Cal.

Nothing like my poorly funded public alma mater from San Francisco.

Only one San Francisco public high school can claim 90 Berkeley acceptance each and every year, Lowell.

One does not just elect to go to Lowell, the students are tested and selected from the academic elites of San Francisco.
