Why did USMA send this to me in the mail?

I just received what appears to be an application; it has a booklet that says "Instructions for Applicants to the USMA Class of 2012", about 7 forms, and envelopes.

All I did was submit the SLS application a few days ago, and now this arrived today, did they send this to me by mistake?

Frogger Man: I'm assuming you would be applying for the class of 2013, so yes, it may be a mistake. Call admissions and clarify.

Sounds like you might have been just a little bit early on submitting your SLS application. IIRC, SLS applications weren't accepted until after Christmas a couple years ago.

With those applications just starting (or about to start), they might not have adjusted settings on their end yet.

Maybe they find you such a strong candidate that they want to sneak you into the class of 2012 [:)]

Maybe you filled out a preliminary application by mistake... or it certainly could be their mix up.

The Admissions office is so busy right now. It could easily be a simple mistake. But it does give you a chance to call and clarify.

When you open a file with USMA they send you things regarding the current year, I got things for the class of 2011 when I opened my file last year and I wasn't applying to West Point until this year (Class of 2012). Just continue with your SLS applications and you'll be fine, it's probably just a mix up. Btw SLS is a lot of fun, if you get the chance go!! :D
