I am a freshman gsp student...1360 SAT. Good ec's, etc...but my math/verbal score were really off balance. I believe it had something to do with that...but then again, I don't know. It all works out in the end. ;-)

i dont think there's usually a cutoff for SAT scores... the range they give you is the middle 50%. 25% are below and 25% are above the average, generally.

Why so bitter, dodger?

I'm not sure if CC's got insurance for ppl with hormone inbalance.

I'm simply asking how the hell I got in considering a lot were rejected with way better everything.

Now, I have my answer: Steinhardt is more holistic than other schools. After all, it IS the School of culture, Education, and Human Development.

They requested a midyear report from you??

is there even a slight chance that stern would be half this interested in EC’s?

Congrats about your acceptance. Your tough schedule which included 6 APs and 12 honors courses did the trick. And yes, NYU does look at apps more holistically than people think, a similar thing happened with me and Stern.

does any of you three realize this is a from last year?!

hahahahahahahaha

So NYU basically handicaps or rejects very bright students and admits not-so-bright kids every once in a while. Doesn’t this happen at almost every university?

There is no cutoff…

Your ECs, work experience, internships, and fluency in 3 languages is probably what did the job. They are all top notch, and likewise impressive
