i will be receiving notification letters over the next 2 weeks and i am SO nervous. i got 2 thick envelopes and 1 thin envelope in today’s mail and i thought they were notifications, but the one of the thick ones were financial aid info and the other thick one was info about the college. the thin envelope was a letter saying that the admissions committee has received my application and will make their decision ASAP. it’s really annoying when colleges do that!

Yeah, Miami sent me a thin letter saying "Thank you for your application."

Argh!!!!!!!!! I was sure I had been rejected.

yay, the University at Albany decided not to scare me with a letter. instead, they sent me a postcard saying they received my application. nice! :)

haha yea- same for yale :)

Yeah I got a thin letter from UW and thought for sure they had not even bothered to review my sorry application and rejected me 2 days after I applied HA. Turns out they want to lead me on, so they sent a confirmation letter they got my app. Rejection will come later :(

Haha, got the same letter platnium.

I knew I hadn't been accepted/rejected after three days. But the Miami one was like three weeks, and I was crapping my pants.

I got the same letter also from UW! however, ,mine was a confirmation taht my request for a fee waiver was granted.

I saw a huge envelope in the mailbox yesterday, and my heart nearly stopped. Imagine my disgruntlement when I saw that it was yet another piece of propaganda from Vassar- where I haven't even considered applying.

I check the mail everyday and I too am tortured by the large envelopes from other colleges
