<p>There always seems to be exceptions to posted scholarships, whether those are listed minimums as someone suggested, I don’t know. </p>
<p>Friend’s daughter graduated one year ago from USC business school after a 4-year 100% free ride, non-URM, smart, articulate, interviewed over the phone for merit scholarship, because she couldn’t get to school. Came out of a high school IB program overseas, but she and parents are US citizens.</p>
<p>Granddaughter of another friend has 100% free ride merit scholarship at LMU except for a couple thousand for books. URM, smart, was on the wait list. She showed up same day she received notice to say how it was her first choice and how much she wanted it. They said she was the first to respond and seemed to like her enthusiasm. Then, she had to wait and wait, but finally, this amazing offer came through. </p>
