Why do I need to send all scores?

Some of the schools I am applying to request "all scores". However, my ACT is significantly lower than my SAT, and so I see no use whatsoever in sending it. Since I would have to pay to send it, and money is very tight around here, it would in fact be a better decision to NOT waste my money by sending the ACT scores. However, the schools requests all scores, and the ACT score is on my transcript at my school, so it isn't like I can hide it.

What do I do? Waste money? I don't understand.

I think by all scores it means that you should submit all of your ACT scores or all of your SAT scores, not both of them together.
When you are sending score reports at college board you can select ‘all scores’ (which is what the college means) and you can modify it to score selection (where you pick specific scores that you pick).

Sometimes, by “all scores” the school mean all the SAT/SAT subject scores or all the ACT/SAT subject scores. Also, most colleges will automatically take the highest of your scores for admission purposes, so no worry :).
