Why do more CSUs offer BSNs than UCs do?

I’m just curious. If you’re an undergraduate hoping to get into nursing then your own options for BSN at a UC are UCI, UCLA, and UCSF. But there are so many CSUs that offer BSN. Plus UCR, UC Merced, UCSB, and UCSC don’t even have BSNs at all. UCSD and and UCD only have master’s for nursing. Why don’t more UCs offer a BSN?

The original goal for the CSU’s was to give local students a great education and get them into the workforce. The UC’s goals were more geared towards research and graduate schools.

@Gumbymom thank you!

UCSF doesn’t have a bachelors in nursing. It is a Graduate only school.
