<p>I'm really close with my parents, but they're (mostly my mom) crazy when it comes to grades/scores. I'm not even Asian, either. I just got stuck with a rare pair of obsessive white parents. :p</p>
<p>The thing is, when I made an outstanding play in lets say baseball, they'd go nuts and I'd never hear the end of it, but since I quit playing, for reasons that they are mad about so it would explain that, they haven't really said anything. </p>
<p>That's the biggest for my father I think, is that I have athletic ability but I don't play sports, I think it makes him mad, so he doesn't care about my academics.</p>

when i was five years old..yupp
work then play..since i was five..
i remember not being able to ride bikes with my best friend who lived 2 houses down from me =/
but hey now i'm a math whiz</p>
<p>^ Same here, only they forced down multiplication down my throat when I was 6.</p>
<p>I always annoyed them because I loved typing games so much so they forced me to touch type. Funny how I was the only fast typist (and an outsider) when I was 7 years old. Now I type 130+ WPM with AutoCorrect.</p>
<p>Now I get my spending money typing written papers for rich lazy students.</p>
<p>Hey, you could have it worse. Both my mom and my brother say I won't go to my dream school, which is not very encouraging.</p>
<p>That's what they said about me and West Point, and they're right!</p>

<p>happen to me occasionalyl as well u jus gotta deal with it and relax...not a big deal, u know ur perants most likely care about u but just you know like not express it and stuff, like, still, an most likely they critique u for you to improve and be better...as long as they arent abusing u or antygin you shouldfe be fine you know, like, eyah.</p>
<p>LOL We don't have high school awards... but in middle school I won 5 awards where most people didn't get anything... my dad was the only one to come and only because I asked him to check me out early... he fell asleep and then said "well I think a lot of people got awards." I was like... "You were asleep!"</p>
