why do people insist on posting really long posts...

do they actually think that people have the time or energy to read all that? I think there should be a 100 word limit to posts...

agreedddddddd

i totally agree...

You can try this, but people will just have 3 subsiquent posts after that to get in everything they want to say. This is what happened the day I discovered that facebook has a character limit on wall posts.

Some people have a lot to say. If you don't want to read it, don't read it. I think an upper limit on posts is a poor idea.

dude. it would hurt sakky. sakky is the #1 forumer on CC

You can pry my essay-length posts from my cold, dead hands. Since I make so many short ones they probably average out pretty low though. :)

but lots of people have stuff to say, but are too lazy to read through the whole thing, so their answer is never complete, and sometimes leads to huge misunderstandings.

If they're too lazy to read the entire thing, then it's their problem. Don't be lazy!

Only if they are witty/funny/inspiring

Hogwarts!!!!!!

has anyone noticed that you're automatically logged out when you remain idle for too long? When you read a long post, and try to reply, you have to log on aagin, and by the time you're back in you forget what you wanted to say.

Odd. That doesn't happen to me. I've never been automatically logged out of CC. Perhaps there's something strange with your settings?

I don't think so. A lot of people I've asked say it happens to them often.

Funny only how all the younger kids agree.

Go to the parents' forum and you see really long posts all the time. (They are least more than 100 words long)

Nothing personal, but I really think the OP should just grow up. ;)

Furthermore, 100 word limits would also prohibit most chances threads...

laziness and growing up are completely unrelated.

No, but when you grow up you're going to want to eventually post a nice long (touching or outrageous) story concerning your kids, that other parents will also be eager to read. :)

I'm still going to be a regular member in my 30s....no thanks.

Oh you never know. The application process might change drastically in twenty years.

if that happens then my kid can flip burgers for a living...
