Why do people judge?

Judging can be good. We do it every day.

I think the OP means arrogant, grumpy, people who don’t open their minds to people/ideas. I always get judged (I think). Because of my “smart” appearance, sooo many people assume I have a 4.0 gpa. In fact I have a 3.4 gpa. A whole letter grade off hahaha! Then when they get to know me, they learn that I’m not who I seem and then they just leave me. >__<

sry about the rant.

People judge because it’s just natural. We can’t avoid it.
Though others who show their judgement through facial expressions or talking are just ignorant or immature. Humans are naturally “bad”; seriously it’s true.
But yeah, people just need to keep their faces and opinions to themselves…

I thought I told you guys that I felt bad about it and want to change. I also recall saying this feeling was towards people in my school, not at people in general. Jeez!

^It just is interesting that you make this thread directly after that one. Have you “changed, do you think?”

And that feeling towards ppl in school can find its way to generalizing against many.

Anyways, people will always judge, but it’s how they use–or don’t use–this judgment that matters.

just because you feel bad doesn’t mean you aren’t still judging them.
you said:

apparently you do.
that’s not bad though. judging is part of human nature. everybody judges everyday. it’s better to realize and accept that instead of insisting you don’t do it or being oblivious that you do.

judging has a negative connotation but it’s a necessity. for example
you judge when you’re consider mate or new friend.
you’re judged when you’re in a job interview.

it’s not always bad to judge.

Asking why people judge is like asking why people breathe. Being judgmental is an instinct… lol, everyone has to judge to make decisions for everything.
