hey kouske, chaces are crapshoot u has better engineering than the ivies. i have no idea why anyone would go to dartmouth, or any ivy, for engineering. and you'd be saving alot more than 16k

"chaces are crapshoot"
so theyre a crapshoot for ivies but not for good universities? huh?

"u has better engineering than the ivies"
thats a generalization. id say mit/caltech/cmu/and somemore, but cant just make a generalization.

" i have no idea why anyone would go to dartmouth, or any ivy, for engineering."
so? not everyone want to be an engineer. and i actually know someone that wants to go to an ivy for engineering.

"you'd be saving alot more than 16k"
why? i dont think MIT is any cheaper than Harvard. plus, ive looked at some of my need based finaid packages, and i KNOW going to a 40k+ school would only be about 20k total in loans more for me than going to my state school.

Some of the Ivies, not all though, take really great care of their undergrads. I would say that Columbia, Dartmouth and Brown focus more of their attention on the undergrads than the grad students.

If any of the Ivies match your personality and academic level of acheivement, I don't see why one wouldn't want to go to one.

Just my thoughts.
