Why do u want to go to this school essays

How to write these essays…should u make them straightforward or more creative like the personal essays…does anyone have any good examples of essays like this.

Blah, I hate those type of essays. Luckily, I didn't need to write any like that. The only advice I would give is to make it genuine - nothing that makes you sound like a information booklet for the college. They already know about their stats, so there's no point in telling them something they already know. Perhaps others can give you more advice.

yeah mine was really stupid at first. i did a total rewrite sounding genuine adn it was kickass

how did u change it to make it KICKASS.. please respond

yeah i still have to do one for northwestern due the first, so i need help as well

^ just finished writing my NW one ;)

also jjust finished my cornell, duke, upenn one

How Did U Write Them

Wtf kind of question is that?

My answer: In my own damn way

Be a little independent and write what you think you have to write. Stop asking dumb questions about minor essays. It's a straightforward question(you won't find one any more so) that requires a straightforward response.

Think for yourself, it's senior year, you should be able to.

sht, just cuz ppl don't know what to write doesn't mean it's a dumb question.

no kiddin ? boy, it is a wonder that cc is filled with people who supposedly are the best example of goodness since the second coming of christ, helping homeless and others...
only to tell off ppl who ask for help on the site.

I would also like to know what you're supposed to write and how a 'minor' essay can be original and creative, avoiding all the cliches.

i understand your plight, but asking us what we wrote doesnt help you. its a hard question. seeing as how you cant be "creative" perse but the important point that i found in making mine sound good was being "genuine" actually write about what you like and how it relates. dont make up **** that the colleges would want to hear. good luck man

Tell them you really don't want to go to that particular school, but your mom wants you out of the house because of your superb stats. Soemthing along the lines of Kumar in the movie 'Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle'

yeah ok, but if a college is my safety, how the flying 747 would being 'genuine' help ?

I could just imagine writing about my safety:
"What I like most about (insert college name here) is that it has a student body composed of people, who aren't immersed in self-referrential mania concerning GPA's and SATs, but who consider it not as important as life experience...."

yeah right.

All I did was answer it with what I really believed, and that's all you need to put. If you really don't know why you want to go, you shouldn't be applying there.

And if it's a safety, you probably don't need to worry too much over the essays anyway.

see my problem is kinda interesting, i already got accepted to notre dame EA, and i paid for the northwestern application ($65) a long time ago with part 1. I don't really want to go to northwestern over ND though, but i don't want to through $65 away. That makes this essay very difficult to write

have some fun with the NW one! =)
