Why do US News rankings seem way off?

Is it just me, or do the US News rankings not make any sense?

Uhh..you care to share how it is not accurate rather than just rambling and leaving everyone guessing?

wharton is #1....

Your opinion may differ.

for ugrad business its just peer rating...its bs

USNews is basically an attempt at a prestige ranking from opinions within the academic community. Nothing more, nothing less. You have to take all of these rankings with a grain of salt, they aren't definitive by any means. That said, I think for the purpose of ranking based on prestige, it is a much better approximation than businessweek.

not with regular universities...how can u explain princeton being #1...

:)

Lehigh's business school isn't even in the Top 50? (businessweek has it at 20)

Did they just forget Lehigh

BC, a very prestigious school, is only 29? (businessweek has it at 14)

Top US Undergraduate Business Schools

Some these schools that are much harder to get into are ranked lower than schools that are much easier to get into

So how is it possible Lehigh doesn't have a Top 50 business school according to US News when everyone knows it's great?

i would say both has it's problems

i would stick with us news's top 10 and businessweek's 10-30

the rest is just "a random ranking of garbage" with a few exceptions

Key word is attempt. That being said, I don't think anyone can effectively prove that Princeton can't be the most prestigious school for undergrad.

Well in pop culture references it's always been Harvard lol so I guess that's something.
