We need more posts on this board! So...
What attracts you to CC? I visited last summer, and I liked the campus itself, but not the isolation (I'm really wanting to go to a school in the suburbs, like Brandeis or Pomona). You also get free music lessons @ CC, which is a plus! The student body, while I want a small college, is almost too small. I mean, it's about the size of my high school!
Anyway, CC isn't my top choice, but it seems like a nice place, and I'm anxious to get my decision!

I agree whole-heartedly! Conn is a nice alternative, I like the close proximity to my home, and the serene location, but Williams is my top choice. Conn has a nice comfort zone, and I liked their track program. I stayed overnight, so I enjoyed the full experience, and I can't really compare it to Williams or Amherst in any facet of the experience, its really different in the priorities, the expectations, etc.
I would be relieved to simply receive my letter at this point...from anywhere really lol
and yes, we do need more excitement here!

How is CC different from Williams?? I applied to both, haven't heard from either. Did you get into Williams?

wow, I applied to both conn and williams as well. They are the only 2 schools I haven't heard from. however, I need to wake up and face reality... there is no way I'm getting into Williams. ha, oh well I tried. I think they are similar in the sense that they are both "traditional New England liberal arts schools". They both have beautiful campuses (williams, more so). They're both good academically (again, williams is superior). I visited both, I liked both, I think I'd be happy at either, although williams was definitely a reach for me.

Hey guys,

I am praying DAILY to get into Williams lol, its my first choice mostly because i found the students more compatible with my tastes. They were more athletically oriented in regard to the social scene, and the "Eph" spirit was certainly more encouraged than "Camel pride."

Other than that, the dorms at Williams were fantastic, especially since they were remotely newer, as opposed to the older facitilities at Conn, and I definitely liked the Williams food better. Williams seemed a great deal more unified and friendly, though it difficult to make a judgement after only one overnight stay.

Good luck guys!

Thanks, Becky.
Good luck on Williams to both of you!

eh I've given up on williams... and moved on

ninerpin, I've also moved on, and am now looking more fondly toward conn, its closer and slightly smaller which is appealing
good luck everyone!
