Was inspired by the other thread....

Almost everything. I’ve been here 6 months and I’ve fallen in love with it, gotten an excellent paid research assistantship, maintained passable grades while doing only the stuff that interested me, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery while trying to brave the weather (summer’s harder on me than winter was).

Umm…this sounds like a way to get some cream for your ‘Why NU’ essay! :p

I love NU for almost everything!! I haven’t found any negatives, in the few hours I spent on campus. (except for the weather and the antiquated Norris building!)

I am applying ED to NU. And I have done my college (re)search and I couldn’t come up with a better school for me!

As a parent…what I love about NU:

Hearing my DD talk about her friends, classes, her Professors, and the EC’s…makes me want to go back to school.

Having staff in the Financial Aid office, and the 9Pay always willing to work with me in pulling together the finances–DD is a senior this year—so last year for FAFSA ;)…unless she decides to go directly to grad school…humm…

Knowing my DD is going to graduate from a top tier school.

haha nah this isn’t for my Why Nu? essay…I’m an entering freshman and just wanted a few reasons why I should get super pumped! :)

The cold, the wind, and the high murder rate…yeah I love just about everything. :p

-Topnotch academics
-Generous FA (at least for me) and research grants
-Scenic, hopping campus
-Running/biking trails that reach downtown, can even hit UChicago if you go south enough
-Prestige (king in the city and well-known nationally) and reputation (chill smart kids who like to have fun)
-Interesting greek scene
-Interesting friends
-Interesting alumni
-Nice college town and proximity to Chicago (love the shuttle)
-Movie-quality college experience

“-Movie-quality college experience”

Love that!

Umm… Evanston food?

hot cookie bar

Oh god, Suppa. I had forgotten about those. That + figuring out I could make rootbeer floats anytime I wanted= my freshman 15.

And why are you on here now. Don’t you have some sort of internship to be doing work at?
