Is it for the name? The opportunities given? Money?

Name, fame, the hundreds of K $$$ that I can get after a degree at an ivy, the uniqueness - although I hardly like the country...

To be a better human.

Top LAC is only available in U.S.

The opportunities given

for the flexibility of the US education system and the opportunities it provides......and the money ;)

It's far away from home.

yay for flexibility

to be independent, to gain experience, to be fluent in english

in my country, if you have studied abroad, you're looked up to

i see myself going to the states cos the universities i would love to study at are located therein.
i you really wanted to study abroad, america is not the only country. also, if you wannabe far away from home, i'm sure america is still closer than many other places.
i'm not chasing money either. i believe you make it wherever you are on earth. It all boils down to attitude

a. away from home (change from the normal)
b. cold beers + hot pizza
c. college football (or should i say football tailgate parties :D)
d. girls from everywhere
e. coz no good institution in my country will admit me
f. wall street
g. $
h. the course tht i want to pursue is only availalbe in the US (+flexibility)
i. keep the family legacy
j. so tht i can meet all the cc'ers on the campus

keep the peace!

--to become independent
--to be far away from home
--for diversity
--there will be lots of parties and drinks
--everyone will look up to me :) (of course, only if I get into a top uni)
--to please my mum and dad ;)
--to make everyone jealous of me (also, only if i get into somewher great)
--and.. america is greedy and so am i so I will fit in perfectly lol
--and i guess the whole 'good education' thing will be a plus.

where I can study and play at the same time

see cool guys :D

threefold:
1. to learn things i won't be able to in the colleges in my country
2. for the name value
3. for the research facilities

For the flexibility of the curriculum.
For the research opportunities available to undergraduate! That's so cool!
For diversity.
For meeting new people, and from every corner of the earth!
For the opportunity to explore, dream and discover.
For the chance to rediscover myself as who I truly am.
For true knowledge and hands-on experiences.
For state-of-the-art facilities.
For travel opportunities.
For a better life.
For a more dynamic and colorful life experience.

I wanna study at an American University because everyone is going there. Kinda I can't swim against the stream and the stream is taking me to the States =)
Just kiddin'
I am eager to get into a University in the United States, because it:
- is challenging
- will give a perspective in life
- will put a meaning to my future
- and other this kind of nice things about American education =)
So, that is whay I think

To open myself, to realize myself. Here, I'm lost.

You can be lost sometimes but don't drift with the flow. It's still good for you to devise your own future rather than follow the flow.

Just to see how america is :D

America is an awesome place for most parts :) I like freedom
