Sorry, but I need to ask. I got accepted, but I have no clue about the school's reputation, expect for what I know that they have a good business program, its the second biggest school in the sate, and that it made playboy's top ten list as a party school that it actually lives up to. What are your motivations to attend here?

for everyone it will be different.. so for me:
-cheaper tuition. Even if I made UCSD i wouldn't go there.. the tuition for me is 40k a year.. while SDSU is only 20k a year. one of the cheapest tuition i found throughout all the US universities
-great location and city. I am kind of a city boy and i would like to live in a large city instead of being isolated on some campus somewhere. and its near the beach n all that
-what i want to study: business management: accounting/finance.
most of the UC's dont even have it. there are only a few better schools in CA that have these programs.. USC,Berkeley n i'm not sure.

Ok which one? SDSU or Cal state Long Beach, since got shot down by Cal Poly:(

i believe sdsu is a higher ranked overall. go to campusdirt.com for more info comparing the two. and from what ive heard long beach isnt exactly the safest spot to live.

This is a no brainer. SDSU by a MILE!! Better school, better campus, better city and big time Division 1 athletic events at Qualcom and Cox Arena.

It all depends on what you want to do. This really deals with the program (major) you want to be a part of at SDSU. SDSU has a good business program (especially if you want to be in international business.) It also has many other programs that rank much higher than others in the United States do. Out of all the Cal States, SDSU is easily the best one from an academic and overall standpoint. SDSU is also very competitive with many UCs from an overall standpoint. With every year, SDSU accepts better students. If this trend continues at about the same rate it has for the past decade, SDSU will soon find itself among some of the better Universities in the nation.

I think you are probably right. My daughter has decided to go there unless she hears from Cal Poly SLO tomorrow for the summer session. I don't think it will happen so we are happy with SDSU.
