Why does CalGrant list my college of attendance?

When I created my CalGrant profile, it asked me for a list of all the schools I have applied to and did put all 10 of them down. However, when I go check the application status today, it says:

College of Attendance: UC Davis

And it also says I have been awarded CalGrant A to it and that's the only one listed. I don't even know if I got accepted into UC Davis or not and what happened to my other colleges I have also listed?

Can anyone help me clarify if this is normal or not?

It’s normal. Usually CalGrant just lists one-three California Schools that you’ve sent your FAFSA to and then once you get accepted and decide where you are going, you go into your account and change the school. You also have to go in and certify that you’ve graduated at the end of the school year.

Qualifying for A or B depends on your income and assets. Cal Grant B is for the lower income students, ie. a family of 4 with income below $43700. For A, your income has to be below $83100 for a family of 4.

If you qualify for B, I’ve read that you are sometimes awarded A but can ask to get B because in the long run, it’s more money I think.

Thank you for your answer, Fidoprincess.
