<p>Why does this website purge itself once a year of old posts?</p>
<p>UIUC vs UIC, prevalence of fraternities, engineering acceptance rate, all these questions have been re-answered every single year. It's like the Twilight Zone but on an internet forum. Ah well.</p>
<p>I do not think they are purged but they go into storage somewhere. Difficulty is finding them. If I am recalling correctly you used to be able to do a search in prior years but that feature seems to be gone now. Now it seems the only way is to use the google search option (open search tab at the top and click on the “New Google CC Search” and search for topics by also putting in a year such as 2008)</p>
