why does collegeboard have online scores for SAT

and doesnt for AP?

they really need to do something about that because it really beats waiting for the mail and is better for the environment

no idea.

but APs take wayyy longer to grade for sure.

CB has online scoring so CCers can freak out at 5 AM the day the scores come out. haha
by that same logic, they should have it online BUT they are hand-graded by, and the scores come out at different times for different regions. if it was a uniform online posting of the grades, we’d have to wait even longer…i think.

it’s not necessarily better for the environment because we still get paper SAT scores after our online ones.

yeah, I agree with Crystal Pineapple…

BUT… if the scores did come out a little early online I would be so happy :)

I heard somewhere, it has to do with the fact that the SATs are actually run by ETS and the AP tests are run by Collegeboard, but I don’t think how true that is at all.

I thought the AP tests were still created by ETS, but just run by college board. I don’t really know, but they fact that you the essays aren’t scanned i believe and shipped to essay graders is the main reason. They want complete uniformity on the process so they have each FR hand graded in a special sessions.
