Have your counselor call on a weekly basis. The admissions office will be more aware of your problem and will be much more likely to resolve it in a timely fashion.

Its a Disorganized office. But they are only human but you can't be hahaha! Keep after them or its your problem sorry to say.

It seems as if the offices file documents of record them in bulk. One of my D's teachers had to mail his letters in late January. They were recorded as received anywhere from Feb11 to Feb27, even they were all mailed the same day. The shortest time from mailing to recording seemed to be two weeks. That's why you want the counselor to call so that you don't end up with three copies of everything in your file while at the same time making sure that papers are not actually missing.

Haha, by now, it seems that one out of five universities received all of my stuff at the first time with two still missing items which were refaxed already (counselor report) and one closing my file...yuck.

But as they rarely try to find your stuff, just search for potential mistakes they could have committed. Du you have special characters in your name, did your counselor file ur report under a different name than you did etc.

A thing I was advised just yesterday was to let it fax and call within an hour to make sure everything is properly recorded - I will try on monday !

Strange because Princeton is noted nationally for being so smooth running:

They lost both of my teacher recs. Both of them. And they were mailed separately lol.

There is delay between when it arrives and when it gets processed. That's why some colleges have a "processed" date instead of a "received" date. I don't think Columbia processed anything between Jan 31 and Feb 27. Being considered "smoothe" in administration is probably like the missionary in the old joke putting on his running shoes. He doesn't have to run faster than the lion; he just has to run faster than the other missionary. One college may be smoother than another but neither is anywhere close to FedEx or McDonalds.
