This is unacceptable.

It's probably because too few people would eat at the dining halls at that time to make staffing the dining hall with staff costly for the company to run it.

That logical explanation doesn't put food in my stomach though :(

My university does that as well, serves brunch and dinner on weekends. It seems to make sense, everyone I know is ready to eat so early anyway.

Who is up before 10:30 on a weekend? Honestly. If you are, go back to bed.

On weekends at my school, the caf isn't open until 11:30 for brunch. And this weekend, because it's fall break, there is no food whatsoever from today until Tuesday night. So last night, I took my tupperware and went on a caf raid. I have at least enough to last until Monday...

It's that way at Princeton but not at Peking University.

Go China! And this "subjecttochange" person calls me anti-China...

^ haha..gotta love it.

because who is awake at 10:30 on sunday morning??

The brunch hours are very common at many colleges. That's why you should have cereal in your room.

sunday here is just brunch and dinner as well...i dont think theres enough people awake before 10 on a sunday to make serving breakfast worth it at all

Believe me, there's not enough people up by 10 AM to make staffing worthwhile. Smith College opens one of their dining halls at like 9 AM or something and it's still pretty quiet before 11 AM... then after 11 AM, all dining halls are open!

AS the above poster said- get some cereal or oatmeal for your room :)

stop complaining...the dining hall in my dorm is closed on sat and opens at 12 on sun...i deal with it fine

You should
a) eat late at night
b) sleep later, wake later (after 10:30)
c) eat food in your room

skip breakfast, you can do without it for an hour

Brunch starts at ~11:00/30 here.

I'm happy for you. Don't like my complaining? Well that's too damn bad because you chose to read it. Deal with that.

Everyone is hung over from partying on Saturday night

Stock up on milk, cereal, oatmeal, fruit then :P. You can even have eggs if you do that deal with the microwave egg containers. Although I have to admit they taste kinda shady compared to frying them.

It *es me off too. I wake up at 8 Saturday and Sunday regardless of what I do the night prior. Typically the dining hall hours don't * me off that much, but the fact that the gym opens at 10 does.
