Why does UCLA Housing suck???

The infrastructure & accommodations to one of the worlds best schools has the worst housing options. I am about to jump off this ship & go to UC Davis.

Any advice?

What are u talking about? Its one of the best imo with the best dorm food.

Why are you using housing to determine your choice? Not academics?

IDGAF about dorm food. I can cook my own. Why would I BASE my decision on food?

So what you are saying is I should sacrifice living conditions, way under my standards just to get an education at a school that is solely popular because of it’s prestige?

Relax, have u been to ucla dorms? I’ve been there and i dont see whats bad about it

Go to Davis then.

I don’t see anything wrong with the dorms @ UCLA. I like em!

Check out off-campus apartments! They’re pretty neat.

How is davis housing better?

So you’re going to UCLA solely for its prestige?

…get an apartment?

Why on earth are whining? If you don’t like the school/accommodations (and it’s perfectly fine if you don’t), then go to a different school that you do like. Were you really unable to figure this out on your own?

I hear the beach is more accommodating than UCLA’s housing, you should check it out.

First world problems, lmao. ;)

I’m getting an off-campus studio if I choose to go to LA.

then live in santa monica. i would do that anyway. dorms suck. dude, you really want a degree from davis over ucla? what are you on about? haha. this complaint “has a deeper meaning”—as freud would (rightly) say.

@rosegray! right on. my generation would say “the curse of the bourgeois!” = first world problems. i like to quote Mugatu from Zoolander “I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!”

Davis imo is the only campus with really nice apartment complexes like the Lexington! Looks so fancy compared to UCLA’s off campus apartments, i hope i get placed there.

There’s also the arlington farm which is distinctive and check the others too.

[UC Davis Student Housing: Transfer Students - Student Housing Apartment Option](http://housing.ucdavis.edu/prospective/transfers_sha.asp)

lol ‘way under my standards’ you guys make me laugh.

oh, funny. okay, uckittychen! didn’t even notice that you posted this. you have wanted to go to davis since you were accepted to UCLA. you can live in santa monica dude, and you want to go to davis. it is kind of funny anyway. i don’t know what you are afraid of dude, just go to UCLA! it is a great school. and you got the funds to get a nice pad in santa monica.

@ CosmicBubble: Arlington Farm looks nice, but according to reviews on Davis Wiki from past tenants, it’s apparently a horrible place to live, especially if you’re unfortunate and end up being put on the west side of the complex (which nearly everyone on Davis Wiki who has lived on that side mentioned it was the more rowdy and noisy side, which isn’t good if you prefer peace and quiet).

oh yea kitty Arlington is noisy and stuff and adobe is too i think. i did some research and Lexington seems to be the best place to live in.
