Why doesn't anyone care about zeee sophomores?

Think about it. Freshmen and Seniors get all the attention. And rightfully so because both are in life changing periods in their lives. Then you have the juniors who have to worry about fulfilling their major courses. Then there's the sophomores. It's like we're just there. No one cares about us :(

I think it’s because they don’t speak out more about their unique difficulties. If you have any you should make it heard.

Because sophomores are worthless. Anyone can get to their sophomore year regardless of how dumb they are.

Have you ever heard of people talking about the troubles of off campus housing? Most first time renters at my university are sophomores. Also, with having to pay for rent and food and generally becoming more autonomous, the pressure to find work in a poor job market with a lot of competition from other students is another problem students face. From what I can see, many students keep their jobs for multiple years reducing the market for prospective employees.

I feel these are some of the problems that are more challenging to sophomores because they are often looking for the first time. I am relaying my experiences where freshmen are often more focused with adjusting to college before looking for a job.

Do you have a specific problem that isn’t being addressed?
If not, look at sophomore year as a time to enjoy life and be carefree!

Don’t you have to declare a major by the end of sophomore year at most colleges, if you don’t do so before that year? There’s something important about sophomore year, possibly.

I’ve basically never been a sophomore, really. By credits, I went into school as a sophomore, but I was taking a freshman curriculum. Then I switched into another major where I had to start over and was taking the freshman level classes again. Then I switched into a third major and jumped into junior year. Now I’ll be a senior and graduating on time.

See, sophomore year is so unimportant that I managed to basically skip it. :D

I heard people who switch major 4 times and could still graduate on time. Fing geniuses.

This could be possible if all the majors were in related fields, so units could count toward multiple majors.

It could also be possible if the major changes happened over the course of, like, one week.

Who cares about sophomore year. Just enjoy your years at college while you can because the real world ****ing blows. If you
need attention call up your mom.

I wouldn’t call someone that switches majors four times a genius

Why not? It’s not one of those thing that makes somebody a genius, but also doesn’t automatically disqualify somebody either, does it?

…I don’t think anyone “doesn’t care” about sophomores. Do you think we have unique problems? If so, please share.

You guys are clearly missing the humor behind the thread. It’s not about having problems. He’s joking about how everyone talks about freshmen and seniors but no one talks about sophomores (and imo, no one really talks about juniors). I don’t think that was too hard to understand from the OP.

Like a lot of things…the only things people care/remember are the first and last. Ergo seniors and freshman. Also a good bit of advice to do your interviews either first thing in the morning or last in the afternoon.

Thank you UAKid. Perfectly stated and makes the most since.
