So my grades pretty much suck, but what do you guys think are my chances? Especially at NYU; that's my dream school.

PLEASE let me get more than 1 reply!!! PLEASE, PLEASE. You guys don't know how bad I want answers.

Maybe people don't reply because you have 3 of the same topic on the front page, which means you're knocking other people's topics to the next page who need as much help as you do.

If your GPA is that low weighted, NYU seems like a reach even with you ACT score. I don't know about the other schools.

Haha yeah, this forum is frustrating when people don't reply to you. Sigh -- it's a part of life.

I don't know much about Howard or Hampton, but I don't think that you could get into NYU with such a low GPA. If I were you, I would try to go somewhere less selective and apply for a transfer to NYU. I'm pretty sure NYU wouldn't look beyond a ~3.0 weighted, unfortunately. Your ECs are great, though! Very impressive; I'm jealous. And your ACT is excellent.

I'm going to google Howard's and Hampton's stats, then I'll get back to you about those two.

The average GPA of admitted students is 3.2. I think that with your outstanding other qualifications, you've got a really good shot here. Are you planning on explaining your poor freshman and sophomore year grades somewhere on your application? Your positive trend is outstanding, but you've got to have some explanation for a 1.0 GPA for a year, or colleges will get a poor impression of your motivation (your other qualifications clearly show that you are very intelligent and capable!)
