<p>I'm applying to trinity so I know it's optional. But if you only have a couple of important points, should you do it at all? or will the essay look too threadbare relative to all the other submissions?</p>
<p>Optional doesn’t really mean optional. Take any opportunity you have to express yourself to the college. Make sure the essay isn’t like, “I want to go to duke because it has a low acceptance rate.” talk about interesting things and why they relate to you. Get specific.</p>
