Okay, I don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but why do early action!!!

Is it worth it to cram your test scores in, take out 2 months worth of extra-stuff you can put in (including boostin ur GPA with 1st semester senior classes), etc.?? Do your chances go up, or is it just because it's less stressful??

Also, which colleges still do early decision? (particularly the ivies + duke)

Well, at UGA, you don’t have to fill out EC forms or essays if you do EA. If not or you get deffered, you get 4 essays! (i had to do those >_>)

I did early action this year, and it was awesome. I applied early to Georgetown, UNC, and BC. It was so nice to hear back from those schools and know I had an options before spring. Plus, when december break rolled around, my common app was done and I didn’t have nearly as much stress with fillling out apps as people who didn’t apply early. I would absolutely recommend applying EA.

I think, as far as ED goes, of the ivies and duke, Brown, Dartmouth, Duke, and UPenn definitely have ED. I’m not sure about Cornell. Harvard and Princeton don’t have anything early, Yale has SCEA.

because you will hear back before christmas and if you don’t get the results you want you can consider applying to more schools, like me!

do colleges base your admissions results on your gpa with senior semester classes?
or like just up to the end of junior year?

if just up to the junior year how will senior year help you? just to compare you to other students’ senior first semesters? or those also applying from your school?

ok that was confusing

haha well so pretty much for less stress then? the way I see it though is 2 more months of work = more chance at a better next 4 years. I know that it’s “less stressful” knowing from colleges earlier, but what if you get REJECTED early? then u have no chance of going to that college anymore…

thanks for the help guys btw.
