Why Engineering

^

Nah, sorry to burst your bubble if you thought that was the case. Engineers don’t make enough anyhow :P

obviously a joke.

^That was a good joke though. I’m going to go tell all of my friends now.

It works for girl engineers who like hot-but-destitute artists, though.

Engineering is by far the most marketable degree you can have going out of college so why not? Like someone else mentioned its a lot easier to start in engineering and switch to something else than vice-versa. So why not? Unless you are freaking out about GPA for law/med school I can hardly see a reason why you wouldn’t major in engineering if you are even remotely interested.

Hell, even if you are, I would still do it. I know I did. It is tough, but if you can pull off a 3.9 or so in engineering as apposed to some easier major, it makes it that much more impressive. Plus, you will be used to working hard once you go to med school or (like me) law school. That way, you get going right off the bat and do not have to adjust for the workload.

Impressive to who? Med/law schools don’t care about major.

They don’t care much, but they will weigh some majors higher. Admittedly you had better have the GPA to be noticed to begin with, but once they are deciding between two profiles that 3.8 in engineering looks a hell of a lot better than the 3.9 in underwater basket weaving.

Does anyone happen to have an article stating med/law schools don’t care about major? Thanks.

The amount of money an engineer makes is not enough to get girls

Do you really need an article to convince you of this? How would you even know if the article is telling the truth anyway.

You may find something at collegeboard.com.
