Why haven’t I heard back yet?

I’m a white female applying as a first year freshman. I’m from a small town in MN (just over 1,000 people) and last year I ranked #12 out of my class of 40.
30 ACT
3.67 UW GPA (my school doesn’t offer W)
I have taken several college-credit courses through my school (they are the most difficult classes offered and I have taken every single one except for college pre-calc) and am very involved in my school: jazz band, band, history club, student council treasurer this year and representative last year, class secretary, NHS member, the list goes on.
I applied to CLA as my first choice and the college of human development/education (I’m totally blanking on the name right now) as my second choice. I used the Common Application, submitted 3 references, filled out all the essay questions but did not submit my personal essay, and submitted it all on October 28th. The application tracker has said that all my materials are in for months now.

Why haven’t I heard back? Is it likely that I will be deferred? I know my scores aren’t perfect but I really thought they were good enough to get into the schools I’m interested in and I don’t understand why I haven’t heard back yet. :frowning:

Your stats and coursework should be fine for CLA. When did you apply?

A lot of applicants who submitted via common ap. are experiencing delayed decisions. Wondering if there is a connection.
