I'm applying for this science program during the summer, how would I start my essay about why I would be a good candidate? What are some things that I should include? Examples? HELP

what science is the program about?

Just talk about how you have the necessary skills and how you are able to pick up those that you don’t have.

Or how you’re perfect for the position. In passions, etc.

You can also say why you’re straight up better than your opposition

It’s about neuroscience @hailbo

@tmilaa
Do you have experience in the field?

If you have experience, talk about it.
If you have leadership, talk about it.
If you have passion, talk about it.

I think you should write it around that.

It’s important to also emphasize why not only they should take you, but how the program will actually help everyone involved

Be specific when you write this. If someone else could have written the exact same thing, they might as well admit someone else and not you.

And be unique. Don’t write clichéd stuff.

+1, especially since such rhetoric may come off as gamey/unsincere
