Why I Chose Choate (Should You?)

Even though I didn’t apply to Choate and got into Exeter, It’s nice to “see” you back Saer.

I decided on choate. 2013

march 29th is the border revisit day but already know that i will be joining choate 2013 yay!

YAY all of you who decided on Choate this year!
The people there are so welcoming, friendly and bubbly, couldn’t imagine a better place to start my high school career.
I love your attitude. I was very similar in my hope of the “perfect” boarding school. I hope Choate continues to live up to your expectations. :)

It is certainly lovely to “see” you, too, urban flop! Oh, what memories.

I was wondering if you could elaborate on the “arts” concentration requirement at Choate. We are going to revisit day this Thursday. I was accepted as a 10th grade newcomer. I am not at all artistic, and so I am curious as to what the arts requirements are. I would also like to ask if you can tell me about the 10th grade girl dorms. I saw the brand new dorm with my tour guide, but I am assuming the majority of dorms are much older. Can you describe the inside of them? Are they nice? What about the showers? Clean or disgusting? Thanks.

Hi, I found this old thread when looking for stuff about Choate.
I was accepted as a new sophomore for this fall and am going to revisit next week to make my decision.
How are you all doing after almost finishing your first years at Choate? Any regrets or tips?

Hey! Actually this is the end of saer’s 2nd year at Choate. I entered this year though as a new sophomore so maybe I can help… After completing almost one year here I already feel as though I have completely integrated myself into the school. This is to the point that now no one really remembers who is new or not. My first year at Choate has pushed me so far academically and taught me how to be the best student that I possibly can be. I definitely consider myself a Choatie now and cannot even imagine my life at this point if I hadn’t chosen Choate. Socially, everything has been great and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of students to show me the Choate ways and such over the past few months. We are preparing for second visits already and the program for all prospective students looks great. I hope you enjoy your time here next week because it is truly a special place to be able to spend your high school years.
