Why is Cornell such an anomaly >.<

Like they are the ONLY college that wants me to submit my fin. aid form by jan. 1st along with 2005 wu or w/e. I don't know what the wu thing is.

Out of my list of 12 colleges lets see if any of them require fin. aid forms by jan. 1st.
upenn - no, princeton - no, cmu - no, gw - no, uva - no, upitt - no, jhu - no, mit (even EA) - no, swarthmore - no, and some other colleges NO

So why does cornell make you do it so early. There is some friction between me and my dad (mom does not work. And I don't think this "friction" will be resolved for a long time) and I don't think he will submit the wu tax forms. How can I do this.. ugh.

You could probably do it yourself. I don't know what you mean by "wu forms," but maybe you mean 2005 income tax returns and W-2 forms? Idk what's going on between you and your dad, but all it takes is a photo copy. Hope things work out.

So how do I get a w-2 form or the income tax return thing?

wait waht exactly is due jan 1st? the Fafsa comes out January 1st...i have my tax return for 2005..do i mail it to cornell? or whats going on w/ fin aid

read the instructions on the financial Aid application and follow what they require...
i remember i mailed them my mother's tax return from last year and yea that's all about it i guess... but that's the most immportant part i think
bad memories...soli

Ok so thats what I did. I read it and I think I can fill out the application and forge the signature. however I still do not understand how to obtain copies of the other forms. Could you tell me how? Does he have copies of them? Or can I get them at a bank or w/e. Plz help.

LOOK its simple. You go to the website and print out the fin aid application. w-2 forms do not relate to you, its only if YOU work those are forms given to you to show that you paid your taxes. Your parents will have to go and file their taxes for 2005 if tehy have already not done so. Once they file or if they filed, they should recieve a receipt which shows all your family income in everything and what you spend money on (i.e. health care). You take a copy of that receipt and mail that to Cornell.

If your parents work, they should have a copy of their W-2s. (The W might stand for wage or something like that? just guessing : P). Anyway, just get your parents to make copies of both, and mail them into financial aid.
