Yeah then again I'm not exactly in the same situation since I live in Canada and I'll be going to a canadian university in the future. Best of luck to all you americans though!

haha sometimes i wish i was a paremecium so all i have to do all day is swim around in response to stimuli

interesting... stimuli as in presence of alcohol? lol :)

But seriously, i get seriously depressed when i browse around CC, especially the SAT and What are my chances forum.

^Wow what a pathetic attempt at a bio joke.

Or better, read the "Actual Results" thread stickied to the top of the page. It'll give you a better perspective on the actual accuracy of chance threads.

You have to take into account who's posting on those threads. Kids who get rejected tend to mysteriously disappear from this site... as a result that thread has a disproportionally large sample of borderline kids who got in, and a disproportionately small one of borderline kids who didn't. Who would advertise that?

Many people lie about their stats, and only geniuses get A's in all the hardest classes. A genius is smart, but a smart person, is not necessarily a genius.

Same here. But I've been slacking off more this year, so my parents are going to be infuriated by the end of second quarter... :-P

I agree that intelligence is often mixed up with hard work.
But I also agree with asya800 because it kind of overwhelming to see how much work everyone is putting in. If you are not the top person on this site I am sure you feel a but put down by the fact that you're not the best.

I do reasonably well in school and I do go to a very good high school. I do get the occassional B and I do get very upset about that B.

But looking on this site I realize how much more work I really need to be doing.
