I don’t know many premeds or biology majors that have other people’s lives in their hands. I think you’re confusing them for doctors.

I don’t know many premeds or biology majors that have other people’s lives in their hands. I think you’re confusing them for doctors.

I would think that people did bio so they might have a chance at med school?!

Because biology’s so broad.

Biology is pretty fascinating. And grounded.

Although personally, math is much more easy to comprehend than biology. It’s more intuitive. Also a bit more accessible, in the sense that you can understand a lot of things fundamentally in variety of ways without having to get too advanced in various cases. Also more concrete.

And all of you saying that biology is just memorization are full of BS. That’s like saying all math is memorizing formulas and then applying them. It’s more about making connections between topics, which you always almost have to derive on your own.

^well meadow, I prefer bio over math, and based on my experience, I can switch around “math” and “biology” in your sentence to make it completely accurate.

Everybody wants to be a doctor. To get into medical school, you have to be a biology-related major :P. I feel your pain.

^ Common misconception. It’s not necessary to be a bio-related major to pursue medical school. You do need a strong background in bio though, whether you are a bio major or an english major.
