why is it important to view applications so early?

everyone at school was like "omg, UC applications came out". so i checked on their site and found out that it's like a 6 step process (more or less, i forget) and you can't save the work you've done.

so my question is, why is it so important to people that the application is already out? i knew what the essay topics were before the application came out and it doesn't take a lot of time and you're sending it in november...

and also, is it possible to take the SAT I again in december as a senior? i heard you can but i'm not sure.

thanks everyone. and to that person who responded in my prior thread (about the uc essay), i'm not really looking for an excuse. i'm anemic, and i have this weird joint disease where i have to go to the hospital to get checked up everytime so i'm in pain most of the time (hence why sometimes i slack off b/c i can't concentrate with all the pain). i just was wondering if i could say something besides that because i don't really want to tell them all about my medical history.

any input is appreciated ^_^;;

gives nerds something to look forward to.

^ it gives them a social life for the next few months.

Some colleges accept December or even January scores. Check your colleges' policies to be sure.
