Same for me lol but I mean the typical CC member lol goshhhh!

I guess I was one of the lucky ones. I received my acceptance in a month!

Wow, that is lucky! When did you apply and what are your stats?

Oh and congratulations! xD

I’m surprised so many people have been waiting for so long too. I received my acceptance about a week after I applied for UCF, and same for the Honors College.

From what Ive observed, they accept the people with really strong stats first and quickly… and then let the rest fall in after. It sucks because a lot of the people with really strong stats are usually waiting to hear back from other colleges and use UCF as a backup… so we have to wait for them to get their decisions from the other schools and then wait more time after for them to make their decisions and then some more time. Then if we’re lucky we’ll get a decision before 2012 haha. It just sucks though because a lot of people apply early like in August-Nov. and then have to wait until friggin March-May to maybe get a rejection. It not only gets our hopes up for nothing but also delays us accepting offers from other colleges and therefore risks us not being able to get housing and such. It’s also really stressful not knowing what college I’m going to be attending this late in the game. When people ask me where I’m going and I tell them i’m not sure because i’m still waiting on another college, they look at me like I’m crazy! Especially after I tell them when I applied :/

Grr. Mayday, do your Gears grind as hard as mine when you see people getting ready to apply for 2012 before we’re even replied to?

Man, I bet that sucks. Although I am a Junior myself, I would feel the same way if I was a senior. All my best friends are seniors, it sucks you guys deserve your results when it comes to your apps, totally unfair. You guys have inspired me to apply obnoxiously early!

Go for it laurentini! :D:D

Please do Lauren!
@ Ari, don’t even get me started ! lol

Apply in EARLY September. My daughter applied late August and we were told that they do not even start looking at apps until mid Sept. She was deferred in mid Sept, but then after retaking SAT’s in November, and switching her app from fall to summer, was ultimately accepted in December. She had iffy stats. I see that some people that have waited so long are finally getting replies but it is 50/50 on acceptances. UCF is known to have a chaotic business office, and if you call it is luck of the draw on who you get on the phone as to how helpful they are answering your questions. It is nerve wracking and at this point, hopefully the people on here that haven’t yet been accepted have back up plans. If UCF is your dream, the alternative is to get an apt. near UCF, go to the local community college (Valencia) and then do the DirectConnect into UCF. Valencia is a pretty good school and much cheaper than starting at the university. The class sizes are normal and many of the UCF professors also teach there. Worth thinking about. Good Luck!

@alongwait,
how did she swtich her term? I tried to do that with the reactivation form but they said they deactivated it because they already consider you for both terms. Ugh! But if I don’t get into UCF I’m going to USF.

^^ Seconded on Maydays question. Even so, how do you view the term you applied for? I can’t find it in myUCF, and, in all honesty, I’ve forgotten.

I’m off to Megacon for the next couple of days though… Buh bai, College Confidential!

And yeah, I have a couple of Backups. I’ve only got one semester left for my AA, so I’m not sure if the Direct Connect situation applies to me D:

Buttt, the convention I’m going to is in Orlando, so my mom and I were planning on stopping by the UCF admissions office and nudging a little info out of them. I’ll relay anything helpful when I get back!!

Maybe they just started deactivating it because I know a lot of people that did it last year. :(

@ Ari, yayy that’s great. And when you check your status it says
" If required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) have been submitted, your application is currently being reviewed by our admission committee for the _____ (in my case Fall) 2011 term.

@alongwait what were your daughter’s stats?

OMG im in the same boat I have been waiting for soooo long.
