Why is it taking so long...

Poor you guyssss D: I was happily up last night until 5 am listening to music and NOT worrying about any sort of decisionnn.

decisions, anyone?!

I’m guessing either no, or nothing good at least, otherwise they’d have run right here XD

yupp i got a no which i figured would be the case since its been so long

Hey guys! I’m still on the waitlist =( What is taking so long??? I called & they said just to keep checking!!! I don’t understand!!! Anyone heard back yet?

just keep checking… mine didnt come up this morning until i kept checking back

It’s 5:00PM!!! Still NOTHING! =( I just want to cry!!!

Finally received the waitlist decision for my daughter…“due to the academic strength of this year’s applicant pool, we regret that we are unable to offer you admission for the Fall 2011 term”.

Very disappointed…my daughter really tried so hard…if you looked at her stats…

4.10 GPA
over 368 volunteer hours
Silver Knight nominee
After school clubs
Dual enrollment

but her ACT score was only a 20 composite…

well, we sill save some money for a little while, and she will stay home, and go to the local college and then transfer over…UCF is her dream school…most of her friends got in
If anyone was accepted from the waitlist.I’d be curious to find out…Good luck

Finally got a wait list decision . DENIED. FINALLY! Goshh. I’m not even going to get down about it. USF here I come :stuck_out_tongue: But I may transfer there or somewhere else sometime . If anyone forgot or never knew my stats here they are if you’re curious… they’re obviously nothing special lol
5.3 W
3.6 UW
Community service , NHS secretary, Key Club Editor, softball etc. etc.
Letter of Rec.
1540 SAT 22 ACT - ewww.
Hmm that’s about it .
:D

8 long months of waiting. I hate UCF -__-

Guhhhhh. Mayday, I was really rooting for you, if only because I wanted to force you to be my friendddd.

@ Ari, Haha it’s ok O.o we can still be friendssss (:
& @ Slim, you had to expect it .I mean to get off the wait list you have to be looking damn good imo.

XD Welllll, call me when you transfer. I have a feeling I won’t make any friends otherwise :D

Aww, Mayday :frowning: It’s UCF’s lost for not giving you a chance- I do hope you transfer over after a year or two! It’s crazy that your stats are what they are because my stats from last year were VERY similar to yours (almost identical actually.) I don’t know if it’s because I applied for summer or what, but it seems like it just gets tougher every year. USF is a great school and I hope you have a good time there. Make the most of it! Everything happens for a reason :)

I hope everyone luck at whichever college they do attend!

Well here we are June 1st & still NO DECISION for me! I don’t understand it at all. Called today & they said they are still going through the list and that they will let me know by the end of the day…eeeekk!!!

@ Mizz, thanks (: I’m going to make the best of everything. So glad that the wait is over ! lol I literally was not sad at allllllll.
@UCFhopeful, good luck!

I applied to UCF on October 31, 2011 and I still haven’t heard from them either. My sister in law told me last weekend that due to the fact that UCF uses the rolling admissions system it takes them an extremely long time to accept freshman applicants.
Keep in mind that they not only have to review freshman applicants but DirectConnect, International, and out-of-state students as well.
Most of my family are UCF graduates and have all said that they really do take forever to accept their students. But what’s good is that many of us on this blog have applied very early which should help out with our applications.
Its really frustrating waiting on an answer  I REALLY want to go to UCF and the later they don’t give me an answer it keeps me second guessing myself.
Also my sister in law told me that they don’t see your In Progress grades that you have right now as a senior so that shouldn’t really effect your application.

My son applied middle of October for fall and hasn’t received a decision yet either. Highest stats hear within 2 weeks, lower 25 percent have to wait, I think.

My son applied October 29 but we have to wait until his SAT score were released on Nov. 20. I thought he would get an answer faster, but nothing yet. His stats are 3.7 UW GPA, and 1320/1890 SAT which is not impressive, but definitely no low either. 4 AP classes + 3 more this year, and one he is taking online (AP Calculus BC).
I am getting anxious. His brother because is in UCF, and UCF is his top choice (and mine too). Since I live abroad, I really want them both in the same campus. He also apply to Boston University, but that is his reach school.
I have not heard from anyone who applied after October. The wait is insane!

I applied in the last week of October 27 or 29 and heard back in about a week, if that counts.
