Why is neuroSCIENCE not a B.S., but a B.A.?

Doesn't it seem a bit..odd.. that neuroSCIENCE isn't a Bachelor in Science but a Bachelor in Arts? Why is that? Why is it different from the biological sciences department, and can I still be a good pre-med and do well well on MCATs?

B.A. meaning there are more liberal art classes than more science classes.

You are fine, either way.
You can compare the B.A. against the B.S. and what are the additional/

because all types of biology will only teach you qualitative memorization, but biological sciences has more chemistry classes that are actually useful.

There are schools that don’t award the B.S. degree, in which every even-more-obviously-science-than-neuroscience comes only in a B.A. flavor. B.A. vs. B.S. does not matter.

This actually makes me wonder why they don’t offer B.S. in the first place. I can understand that smaller liberal art schools usually offer B.A. only. Is that a fact that you trying to make?
