why is part of cornell blurred on google maps

part of the cornell campus is blurred on google maps. It is east/south of Dryden Rd, and north of maple ave. It is close to where campus rd becomes Dryden Road.

Anyone know why?

you should be lucky we’re even on google maps this year…for the past several we havent been…

try live.com i know they had the imagery up before google did…

It’s the power plant and central heating plant for the University. I imagine it is blurred due to security concerns.

But yes, it is nice that Google maps has been finally updated to include Ithaca. That said, the photos taken from the plane on local.live.com are great.

I think it might not be that…when Google wants to protect something…they protect it (google for the address of Vice President Dick Cheney’s house, or the country of Israel - blank).

It might be very warm air…you know how the refraction goes.

the live.com (whatever url you guys gave) doesn’t have Court-Kay-Bauer and Appel and stuff on it when you do the aerial view. there’s lots more stuff on North now, for those looking at it from a future/prospective student perspective.

^ Click on ‘Bird’s Eye’.

You’re not supposed to know about the brothel.
