Why is Rice known as a "happy school"?

<p>Generally when there are the rankings, they publish the criteria used to determine each school’s standing. It’s all subjective :-).</p>

<p>However, a few reasons could be that there are puppies at the library this week (finals), there are fun study breaks (read my Hogwarts post), there is amazing comraderie among each college’s residents due to all sorts of social activities. The list truly goes on. Also read the thread … 101 reasons to attend Rice (or similar thread name) that is permanently posted.</p>

<p>Also it’s 70-80 degrees right now… people wearing shorts, in mid-December. How that doesn’t make someone happy, I don’t know :-).</p>
