<p>Anyone have an idea? I think it's the only top college that doesn't do so.</p>
<p>Princeton has one of the smallest Ivy populations, so there are simply fewer spaces. Few P students transfer or drop out so there are not many slots that open up. I suspect they value the cohesive, tight-knot community formed from freshman year, and so over enroll the class a bit to make up for the few later departures.</p>
