Why isn't my "Search" function appearing?

<p>I am logged in as usual but the Search function is not appearing in the navigation bar. Is anyone else having this problem?</p>

<p>I am getting the following message:</p>

<p>“Searching has been disabled while the search index is rebuilt, searching will be reenabled on Wednesday, January 10.”</p>

<p>REALLY???</p>

<p>January 10, 2012 is on a Tuesday.</p>
