Why isnt NYU in cc top universities?

if Michigan ann arbor and UCLA is in it, shouldnt nyu be on it too?
we have excellent programs here!</p>

<p>Neither is umich - which ranks 27. Though perhaps it was within the top 25 at one point in time.</p>

<p>I think the real question is if and when NYU will make it into US News’s top 25 rankings.</p>

<p>I hate US News’ ranking system. Rankings don’t mean anything. If only a handful of universities are “worth going to” because they make the top 25 of some pretentious magazine, then we’d have thousands of college grads (those who attended the universities NOT in the top 25) whose university education is considered unsatisfactory.</p>
