Why isn't there more effort to help students looking to transfer colleges?

entomom-
I didn’t include Yale because I didn’t see lots of cc students going there (even if they do, they have special expereicnes such as military experience etc)

“lots of students” I meant relatively lots of students. I know that majority of amherst transfer students come from CC (literally majority), and swarthmore has lots of transfer studetns from CC too (at least half of acceptees I heard)
I also heard that relatively lots of transfer acceptees to H and S come from CC.

I agree that “lots of” was quite exaggerated

Why would this matter? Most schools considering transfers of students who have completed 3 semesters of college do NOT look at the high school record OR the SAT scores.

All of you have fluctuated out the importance of SAT scores considered by the schools. If it is considered anything below 1800, you are very likely to not get into top schools no matter what LEVEL admissions.

This thread is giving me some bad juju. Something about it just doesn’t ring true.

OK…I reread this whole thread. The above is from post 13 by the OP. Does this mean the OP went to one college, then transfered to a “well renowned university” and now is saying he has been accepted to two Ivies?

I’ll put this out there. I think this is poppycock. The OP is saying he went to a tier whatever school, then somewhere along the way transfered to an honors program somewhere else, and NOW he’s transfering again? Sorry…I don’t believe this is true.

If this OP had this much success transfering from his Tier 4 to ALL of the supposed acceptances he got including two ivies and another tier 1 school, I’d like to hear the name of that Tier 4 school…others might benefit from this transfer route.

Personally I think this is all a figment of the OPs imagination.
