It drives me crazy. I feel that SOMEONE on the ucf board must understand how I am just dying to apply already but it is always recommended to apply in September, I am shooting for mid-August to apply. September is when EVERYONE ON THE PLANET is applying college. The wait however, drives me craaazzzyyyyy! Alright, I just felt the need to rage for a second! haha (:

Seriously, you stole the words from my mouth. I walk around my house ranting, ‘why can’t I just apply so I know if they’ll reject or defer me?! This is madness!’ And then I have to go do stuff with friends, to keep my mind off it…which never works, lol. It’s the only school I will go to. If I don’t get in, i’ll do a year of cc (which I don’t want to do) and transfer. I just want to apply already!

Okay. I’m done:)

I emailed the admissions people 'bout when the new application repaces the old… they said like september!

You have GOT to be kidding me. Then what’s the point of kids trying to apply earlier and show how ‘eager’ and ‘anxious’ we are if we’re applying with all the students how have AMAZING stats?! I wanted to send my application in by early august:(

hopefully it will come out earlier than anticipated…hopefully

The 2012 application is up now.

Thank you very much for telling us!
you can have been competitive and sneaky and secretly know it was up, and not mention it. Thanks:)

No problem, except I personally can’t advance any further than Part B, when I try to complete Part C it tells me: “Student type was not selected Go Back To Part B.” Can anyone else let me know if they have the same problem, or if they find a way around it? I’ve checked both my Part A and Part B numerous times and can’t figure out what’s wrong.

I would just delete the information and re-do it. I had the same problem in one of my steps but finally got past it

The SAME thing happened to me! I was getting so irritated, because I couldn’t move on. I suggest starting that portion all over, and filling it out again. That’s what I did, and it allowed me to move onto the next section. It was odd, and I wish I had a better answer. Just try and do it again, and change some answers around, and then change it to the correct one’s. That’s what I did, and it worked. Almost like refreshing the whole thing. Hope this helps:)

Yeah, I had tried that about a hundred times and nothing happened. Suddenly though, about an hour ago it just started working. So that’s good. But thanks for your help, guys, I appreciate it.
What is everyone planning on majoring in? I’m hoping to double major in Restaurant Management and History.

Glad it worked! Originally, I was planning on journalism. Writing is the only thing i’m actually good at, but it’s a dying field. Then I considered psychology, but unless you plan for a ph.d, getting into working with schools as guidance is the only option. So I began looking around for things that fit my character, beyond writing, and things I’d be good at. Two options are left that i’m considering: public relation specialist, perhaps get into buissness and advertising, or a hospitality major. I just put psychology though, because it’s pretty common. No matter the major or job, i’ll always attempt at getting my two finished novels published. My ap english teacher wants to help, because he believes the work is up to par with j.k fowling and suzzane collins. I, however, have my doubts. Writing would be simply a hobby…

^ I ment rowling, but I suppose you know who that is lol.

Hey, I’d like to join this thread if that’s okay :)

I plan on majoring in psychology on a pre med track

Yay! New people! I think it’s fairly interesting to meet people who are interested in the same school:)

Now I am mad at my school. I will not know what my schedule is until the school tells me when school starts, so now I am stalled in section C. As far as major I have no clue eventually I will make my way over to vet school.

Maybe they can make exceptions? I suggest calling the school and firmly telling them your classes are needed.

You can put what you think your schedule will be and then change it when you find out

I will probably just put up what I think it will be. My school is going to be a hassle during the applications they send everything by mail and the master schedule hasn’t been finalized yet the last I heard they had almost all of the AP classes during the same two periods.

Is it weird that I feel funny applying early? Just because I feel like I am getting ahead of myself but hey, I WANT IN.
