Why no response?! UC a-g question!

Hey thanks for reading I've posted twice with no response and this is making me nervous!

It's a two-part question now:

My dilemma is that I never took a language at my HS [cocky bilingual student].
I realized after 10th grade that it was required in UC admissions and took "Intro to German" at a local community college. The college's catalog stated that it was the equivalent of 2 years high school language so I rested on that fact.

Now my question is, will the UC's accept this as part of the a-g reqs if I send the transcript from the community college?

Part deux: I talked to a guidance counselor at school and they claimed that my course would count as college credit at UC's also. I got a B in the class and I fear that it will drag my GPA down. Do I have a choice to not have it count as credit at a UC?

Thanks again for taking the time to read this! :)

As long as the community college course is recognized as a language course for which transferable credit can be given at a UC, then (a) it can satisfy the applicable a-g requirement, (b) it is treated the same as an AP course in that it is weighted (thus your B gets weighted higher for determining GPA) and it receives credit at the UC, and (c) each semester of CC language equals two at the high school level as long as the CC course was at least a 3 hour credit course per semester at the CC. Any sending of grades and explanations to provide should be coordinated with your high school counselor. Note, though you do not have the issue, no more than 8 semesters total of CC credit can be used to meet a-g requirements.
