Hey guys I’m applying to Northwestern as undecided and I’m currently working on the Why Northwestern essay.I’ve already written about 150 words on why I loved the people there, now I’m trying to throw in some specific things. People always say to mention specifics about the school. I’m applying as an undecided college of arts and sciences major and I’m having trouble thinking of specific things outside of certain clubs I’d like to join. Because some of the things are academic and I feel like it would be weird to mention certain academics if I’m applying as undecided. Do you guys have any thoughts?
You can tak about advantages of the quarter system, which makes it easier to double major. Or the core curriculum that is required where you have to take 2 classes in 6 distribution areas such as science, math, literature, social sciences, ethics etc. no matter what your major is, every NU student in Weinberg has to take these classes, providing a liberal arts education in addition to world class education for your major. Or it can help you decide your major.
You’d better do some research. If you want to go there, you should easily be able to come up with plenty of reasons–it’s a great school with a lot going for it.
Would anyone be willing to give me feedback on my Northwestern essay?
If you haven’t already sent it in I’ll read it
